



In commemoration of 2026 78th Anniversary of Independence Day, the opening ceremony of the new concrete Saytana Road in Ohe-Loke Ward, Dawei City, Tanintharyi Region, was held on the road on December 15. The ceremony was attended by the Tanintharyi Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko, the Chief Justice of the Region High Court Daw Paik Paik Aye, Region Ministers, departmental officials, and local residents.
First, Executive Officer of the Dawei Township Development Committee, U Kyi Soe, gave an explanatory briefing on the opening of the new Saytana concrete road.
Next, the Chief Minister U Myat Ko, the Chief Justice Daw Paik Paik Aye, and the Tanintharyi Region Minister for Ethnic Affairs U Saw Martin Luther jointly opened the new Saytana concrete road Road by cutting the ribbon. Afterwards, the Director of the Taninthayi Region Development Committee, U Thet Lwin Oo, presented a commemorative gift to the Chief Minister.
Subsequently, the Ohe-Loke Ward Administrator U Aung Min delivered words of thanks, after which the Chief Minister awarded honoraria to the Drum and Bugle Corps and the traditional drum and dance troupe that performed. The Chief Minister then toured and inspected the newly opened Saytana concrete road along its entire length.
The opening of the new Saytana concrete road will enable ward residents to transport local products easily and quickly within a short time, enhance cleanliness and aesthetic appeal in line with urban standards, and contribute to the development of education, health, and the socio-economic lives of local people, it’s reported.
