Relocation of Staff Families : Renovation and construction of modular houses

Union Minister for Electric Power U Nyan Tun, together with officials, on Saturday took a tour to observe renovation of orange level damaged buildings during  Mandalay earthquake in Nay Pyi Taw Zabuthiri Township.

The Union Minister and party arrived at Bala Theikdi Ward in Zabuthiri Township, where they inspected the ongoing repair and maintenance works and the current completion status of staff housings of the Ministry of Electric Power.

During the inspection, the Union Minister instructed that the repair and maintenance works be carried out with special emphasis on meeting the prescribed quality standards and ensuring earthquake resistance. He also stressed to complete the repair works as quickly as possible so that civil servants can conveniently and smoothly return to live in their original residences.

In addition, they provided the necessary support and arrangements. At the Central Training School (Nay Pyi Taw), the Union Minister and party viewed the construction of 20x120 feet two-storey Modular Houses, totalling 10 structures, which will include kitchens, shower rooms and restrooms. They also viewed the upgrading of road. he urged officials to expedite the tasks for systematic relocation of the staff families.
