Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin, together with regional ministers and officials, inspected Quick Win development projects in Minbu (Saku) Township on December 12.
He inspected a 3-mile rural road improvement project and a concrete village road in Kan Thit Village, built with 124 million kyat from the Supplementary Budget of the Union. Upon completion, the concrete road will benefit over 1,000 villagers by improving access to health, education, and social services.
The Chief Minister also inspected the construction of a canal-crossing bridge near Kan Kalar Village, and instructed for timely completion and meeting the set standards, as it will help farmers transport agricultural products from about 360 acres of farmland throughout the year.
Later, he met with farmers at Kyauk Sit Pone Village to discuss boosting crop production and rural development. He encouraged farmers to use quality seeds, modern farming methods, and grow profitable crops to increase income.
He also urged the formation of farmer associations to improve market access and crop prices. Local farmers reported on the needs on irrigation water, new school buildings, better rural roads, and support under the Emerald Green Project. The Chief Minister coordinated the needs and presented sports equipment to local schools.
