












Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan attended an education seminar on Court-Led Mediation at Myitkyina University on Friday.
During the seminar, he noted that the mediation-led approach is quicker, more effective and cost-efficient. He stressed the importance of understanding court-led mediation in managing conflicts. The Chief Minister underscored that the seminar helps broaden public understanding of these methods, contributing to the state progress and strengthening social harmony.
This was followed by the discussion on the advantages and disadvantages of court-led mediation. Later in the afternoon, the Chief Minister attended the 11th Lisu Christian Churches Youth Sports Festival in ALinn Dhamma College.
They received the Lisu traditional costumes, turbans and bags offered by the responsible officials. A youth leader from the college then reported on the festival’s purposes of fostering a drug-free society and promoting sports development. The Chief MInister and officials provided 4 million kyats for the festival and coordinated the needs for the electrification along the Dhamma college’s entrance. They later enjoyed the Lisu traditional dance performances.
