State Economic Promotion Fund : Management Committee held its coordination meeting

State Economic Promotion Fund Management Committee held its coordination meeting at Internal Revenue Department in Nay Pyi Taw on 11th December.

Committee Chairman, Union Minister for Finance and Revenue Dr. Kan Zaw and committee members Union Ministers U Min Naung, U Hla Moe, Dr. Charlie Than, U Chit Swe and concerned officials attended the meeting. In his speech, Union Minister Dr. Kan Zaw stressed on systematic data compilation and reports on loan disbursement, repayment and loan suspension matters in states, regions and self-administered zones, agriculture and livestock breeding sectors as well as the strict adherence to the findings of the Union Attorney General Office.

Then, the Committee members and officials presented current work implementations initiated with the State Economic Promotion Fund, loan disbursement to MSME enterprises, income generation and debt collection process. Then, the secretary of the committee made clarifications on decisions made in the previous meeting.

Next, the attendees made sector wise discussions on further loan disbursement matters. The meeting was concluded with the closing remarks of the Committee Chairman. The State Economic Promotion Fund Management Committee have been collaborating with the respective states, regions and self-administered zones governments to secure the effective utilization of the fund in implementing the development of agro-based industries, ensuring sustainable development of socio-economic status of the public.
