Inspection of Development Works: SSPC member inspected development works in Shan State

Member of the State Security and Peace Commission and Union Minister for the Ministry of Border Affairs and the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs, Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, accompanied by officials, visited the Loilen District Development Supervision Office in the morning on December 9.

He met with staff, inspected the completion status of the brick boundary wall construction project, and gave necessary instructions and facilitated actions. Continuing, the Union Minister and officials inspected the work site where a 2,868-foot concrete road is being laid on the stone-laid road connecting Kwet Thit  ward, Panglong Township, to Wan In Monastery.

They also inspected the ongoing upgrading of a one-mile stone-laid road into a concrete road connecting the Loilen-Lecher main road in Panglong to the Metta Aye Yate monastery Education School. They gave necessary instructions regarding the work status. Afterwards, the Union Minister and officials paid respects at the Maha Rattha Abhi Sāmagī Pagoda.

They inspected the ongoing work to replace the new ceramic floor tiles on the pagoda platform, a project being undertaken by the Ministry of Border Affairs, and gave necessary guidance and instructions. Next, the Union Minister and officials visited the Border Areas Ethnic Youth Development Training School (Panglong). Following a presentation by the school principal on information related to the training school, the Union Minister coordinated, facilitated, and provided necessary support. Subsequently, the Union Minister met with staff, teachers, and students to deliver an address.

He then presented cash awards of honor to staff, students, and outstanding award recipients. He toured and inspected the school compound and had lunch with the students. Afterwards, the Union Minister and officials, together with U Khun Ye Htwe , Chairman of the Pa-O Self-Administered Zone Leading Body, visited the worksite for the asphalt laying of a 4-furlong section out of the 12-mile, 2- furlong inter-village stone-laid road connecting Hwayt-Ye Khauk Don Lie Tan Villages in Hopone Township. Based on the presentation by responsible officials, the Union Minister coordinated, facilitated, and provided necessary support. The Union Minister and officials then inspected the ongoing road construction works and gave necessary instructions.
