Providing Drum Seeders: YGN Region CM attended the event

A ceremony for distributing sunflower seeds and fertilizers, and providing drum seeders for the summer paddy crop, along with a demonstration of planting the 2025-2026 winter crop (sunflower) using a seed drill, was held in the morning of December 8 in the Puttar Village Group, Taikkyi Township, Taikkyi District, Yangon Region.

The ceremony was attended by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Region Ministers, Chairmen and members of District/Township Management and Administration Committees, responsible officials from relevant departments, and farmers along with officials.

First, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein delivered the opening address.

Following that, Yangon Region Minister for Economic Affairs U Myo Myint Aung gave a speech.

Subsequently, responsible officials explained the situation regarding sunflower cultivation, the status of summer paddy cultivation, and the distribution and usage of drum seeders within the region.

Continuing, Chief Minister and Region Ministers distributed sunflower seeds, fertilizers, and drum seeders to the farmers.

Afterwards, Chief Minister and officials toured and encouraged the demonstration areas, which included sample rice seeds, fertilizers, sunflower nurseries, beehive boxes for pollination, drum seeders, low-lift solar-powered water pumps, and demonstrations of sunflower cultivation using three different methods. They also warmly greeted the attendees.

Next, the Chief Minister and officials inspected the conditions of Robusta coffee seedlings being raised at the Lathagone Permanent Nursery Garden in Lathagone Village, Tarkwa တာခွ Village-Tract, Taikkyi Township. They then distributed the Robusta coffee seedlings to those who will plant them.

After that, the Chief Minister and officials inspected the ongoing construction of poultry farms for chicken rearing by SUPER SEVEN STARS AGRI-TECH CO.,LTD at Plot A-27 of the Taikkyi Livestock Zone, Chingone Village Tract, Taikkyi Township. The Region Chief Minister instructed the responsible officials as needed and toured the livestock zone by motor vehicle to inspect the conditions of the livestock operations in each designated plot.
