SEAGF Meeting: MOC Chairman and delegation attended the meeting

The South East Asia Games Federation Council (SEAGF) Meeting was held at the Grand Four Winds Hotel in the morning on December 8 to ensure the successful hosting of the 33rd Southeast Asian Games, scheduled to be held from December 9 to 20, 2025, in Bangkok, Chonburi, and Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Attending the meeting were the Chairman of the Myanmar Olympic Committee, the Union Minister for the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, Jeng Phang Naw Taung, sports delegation leaders and officials from ten countries, along with the leader of the Myanmar sports delegation and responsible officials.

During the meeting, the rotational SEAGF Chairman from the host country, Thailand, delivered the opening address. Following this, leaders from eleven countries each presented and discussed necessary measures for the successful hosting of the 33rd Southeast Asian Games.

Afterwards, a group commemorative photo was taken, and the ceremony was concluded. Similarly, Deputy Minister for Information U Ye Tint and Yangon Region Minister for Social Affairs U Htay Aung visited the National Broadcasting Service of Thailand (NBT) in Bangkok.

They observed the coordination efforts underway to enable MRTV, MRTV-4, and Hey Play to gather and broadcast news about the games. They instructed the staff to work together to provide timely broadcasts, ensuring the public in Myanmar stays informed and can cheer for the success of Myanmar's athletes and receive news about competitions in various sports. Following this, they expressed words of gratitude to the staff.
