Inspection of Development Works: SSPC member inspected development works

Member of the State Security and Peace Commission, Union Minister for the Ministry of Border Affairs and the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs, Lieutenant General Yar Pyae, accompanied by responsible officials, arrived at the Women’s Home-Based Vocational Training School in Mong Sat Township on December 8.

He met with staff members, instructors, and trainees, presented cash awards, and inspected the trainees’ practical training activities, the dormitory, dining hall, a 200,000-gallon water storage tank, and the tailoring shop operated by the training school. He also gave necessary instructions.

The Union Minister and officials, then proceeded to the construction site of a 150-foot by 13-foot suspension bridge on the Wamhong–Phaphe village interconnecting road in Wamhong Village, Mong Sat Township. After receiving a briefing from the responsible engineer on the progress of the work, the Union Minister provided guidance and inspected the construction activities. Subsequently, the Union Minister and officials visited the Mong Ton Township Development Supervision Office, where they met with staff members and coordinated necessary support and guidance.

After that, the Union Minister and officials traveled from Mong Ton to Linkhay , arriving at the construction site of road works on the access road to Naung Lon Village in Linkhay Township, covering 1 mile of gravel paving out of a total length of 2 miles and 2 furlongs, along with the construction of four box culverts. Following briefings by responsible officials on the progress of the work, the Union Minister instructed that the project be completed on time in accordance with prescribed standards and emphasized that local residents should cooperate in maintaining the road to ensure its long-term durability.

He also coordinated responses to the presentations and needs raised by local ethnic residents and inspected the completed sections of the road. The Union Minister and officials then continued from Linkhay to Mong Nai မိုးနဲ, where they inspected the construction of a 30-foot by 14-foot concrete bridge on the Mong Nai–Kengtung–Lonsan inter-village road, as well as the approach roads and stone masonry retaining walls. He provided further necessary instructions, it’s reported.
