Medical specialists from 500-bed Bago General Hospital conducted a rural healthcare outreach program at the Inntakaw Rural Health Department on Sunday.
The program, organized under the guidance of the Ministry of Health and the Bago Region Government, provided free medical checkups and treatment to over 700 members of the Sangha, nuns, and local residents. Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win, along with regional ministers and officials, visited the site to encourage the medical teams and patients.
Specialists in 10 fields including general medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, ophthalmology, ENT, orthopedics, radiology, dentistry, and mental health, took part in the outreach. The regional government aims to expand such free rural healthcare programs to improve access to medical services and promote public well-being across the region.
