Inspection Tour : Agricultural processing and aquaculture businesses

Union Minister for Commerce U Chit Swe met with local business owners in Hinthada, Ayeyawady Region on Saturday, to inspect agricultural processing and aquaculture businesses.

The Union Minister highlighted that Ayeyawady Region is a major agricultural producer, exporting rice, beans, pulses, and aquaculture products, and emphasized adding value to exports and promoting Myanmar products in the global market.

He also encouraged support for MSMEs, including easing import of machinery and raw materials, and ensuring fair distribution of essential goods like cooking oil. Later, the Union Minister visited Global Earth Agro & Aqua Industry Co., Ltd in Pantanaw Township to review modern aquaculture and hatchery practices, fish farming and smart grow-out systems, feed factory and seafood processing & cold storage plant as well as the biomass power plant producing its own electricity.

The company demonstrates high-tech production, job creation, and skill development for employees. The Union Minister inspected the facilities and coordinated the needs.
