Commissioning Ceremony : New aircrafts and helicopters commissioned into service

A commissioning ceremony of new aircrafts and helicopters was held on Friday at Nay Pyi Taw Air Base, with the attendance of Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission, Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.

In his speech, the Senior General stressed the efforts to promote the capacity of the aircrafts, contributing to the defence and security duties of the Tatmadaw while securing the Myanma aviation territory. He added the transportation aircrafts are essential for nation's defence and security duties, and at the same time, it also supports in nation building efforts, disaster rescue and relief measures and environmental conservation works.

He said the newly commissioned aircrafts will bring great benefits not only for the Tatmadaw but also for the state and its people. Then, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Tun Aung explained about the commissioning ceremony, while Chief of Staff (Air) Lt-Gen Zaw Win Myint declared the commissioning of the new aircrafts and helicopters.

The Commander-in-Chief (Air) then presented miniature aircrafts and helicopters to Senior General Min Aung Hlaing as a commemorative gift. It was followed by the demonstration of aircrafts and helicopters, performing various maneuvers, including Composite Box Formation, Composite Trail Formation, Composite Arrow Head Formation, High-performance, combat turn, barrel roll, High AOA Loop, trail slide, vertical roll, and fan brake.

The Senior General and entourage later sprayed scented water on the new aircrafts and helicopters, and toured the newly commissioned facilities. They also visited the booth, displaying the transforming of the Tatmadaw (Air) during 15 years period. Honourary rewards were also presented to the pilots who participated in the demonstration flights.
