Maha Kathina Robe Offering: MOI UM attended the ceremony

The merit-sharing ceremony for the 55th Tatkone Township-wide Maha Kathina Robe Offering was held at the Aung San Hall of Bo Min Yaung Ward of Tatkone Township in the morning on November 6.

First, the departmental officials and well-wishers led by the Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn and Nay Pyi Taw Council member U Zayyar Lin offered alms-meals to the Sayadawgyis. In the afternoon, at the merit-sharing ceremony, the Ovadacariya Sayadaw delivered the Saraniya Ovadakatha.

Next, the Chairman of Leading Committee for distribution of offertories trees of the Maha Kathina Robe Offering Ceremony clarified regarding the distribution of offertories trees. Then, the congregation observed the five precepts, took the Paritta Suttas recited by the members of Sangha and the responsible officials and well-wishers offered the offertories to the Sayadawgyis.

Afterward, they listened to the sermon delivered by the Sayadaw and shared the merits gained. At the 55th Tatkone Township-wide Maha Kathina Robe Offering, a total of 162 offertories trees worth 273.285 million kyats.
