Collective Blood Donation: Yangon Region CM encouraged the blood donors

In the afternoon of November 5, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and Region Government members observed and encouraged a collective blood donation held at the National Blood Center in Latha Township, Kyauktada District, Yangon Region, to mark the 37th Anniversary of the General Administration Department under the Ministry of Home Affairs.

First, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and Region Government members observed and encouraged the blood donation process involving a total of 135 donors, comprising staff from the General Administration Department within the Region, women's affairs groups, and maternal and child welfare associations. Responsible officials explained the ongoing blood donation activities, after which the Region Chief Minister provided necessary instructions. The Region Chief Minister, Region Government members, and officials then presented nutritional supplements to the blood donors.

The collected donated bloods will be stored at the National Blood Center. Responsible officials will continue their efforts to ensure the timely supply of these bloods to those in need, including victims of various accidents, patients undergoing surgery, individuals with blood diseases, cancer patients, and other necessary recipients, it’s reported.
