






At the technical seminar on achieving pesticide residue-free status and target yields for export agricultural produce in Magway Township, Chief Minister U Tint Lwin stated that ensuring agricultural products can compete in the global market while simultaneously protecting the health of domestic consumers is a major challenge.
He stressed the importance of cultivating and producing high-quality crops that are safe and free of pesticide residue. The Chief Minister called for collaborative effort from all responsible officials, stating that such cooperation would enable the production of pesticide residue-free agricultural products that could be proudly sold in the global market.
Following the Chief Minister's address, responsible officials conducted discussions on key topics, including measures required for achieving pesticide residue-free export crops and target yields, methods for the control and prevention of insect pests using Integrated Pest Management (IPM) techniques and the use of good-quality, pure seeds to achieve target yields.
Attendees actively engaged in an interactive discussion regarding the points raised. After the session, the Chief Minister and officials toured the exhibition booth organized by the Region Department of Agriculture.
