YRIC Meeting: Four projects approved, creating 3,695 Jobs

The Yangon Region Investment Committee held its meeting at the committee office in Yankin Township on Wednesday.

Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, in his capacity as Committee Chairman, attended the meeting, along with committee members and invited guests. Before the meeting, the Chief Minister and members inspected product samples displayed by investors.

During the meeting, the committee approved four 100% foreign investment projects in the industrial sector, mainly for the manufacturing of wearing apparel and garments under the CMP system.

The total approved investment amounted to 5.196 million US dollar, and the projects are expected to create 3,695 local job opportunities. Additionally, the committee discussed one investment expansion proposal and reviewed ten company submissions on various investment-related matters.
