Eurasian Security : Union Minister Attends Conference in Minsk

Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe attended and delivered a speech at the 3rd Eurasian Security International High-Level Conference, which is being held from October 28 to 29 in Minsk, Belarus, at the invitation of the Belarusian Foreign Minister.

At the opening ceremony of the conference, Mr. Alexander Lukashenko, President of Belarus, delivered an address, stating that the main reason for the lack of reduction in conflicts globally is the constant disregard for diverse security policies, and that it is a mistake to build one country's security by exploiting the situation of another country.

In his address, Union Minister U Than Swe stated that in the current era of globalization, challenges to international peace and security include not only conventional but also non-conventional security challenges. To combat the online scamming network, Myanmar is closely cooperating with neighboring countries, China and Thailand.

He also expressed Myanmar's desire to contribute to building mutual understanding, achieving regional stability, and promoting peace and prosperity across the Eurasian region through cooperation. He also affirmed that Myanmar will continue to resolve armed conflicts through peaceful means, through dialogue and negotiation.
