On the morning of October 25, Sagaing Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw, accompanied by responsible officials, inspected the ongoing collective cleanup activities along the Union Road from Kyaukka Road to the city ring road in Monywa.

The activities involved a total force of 500 personnel, including staff from Region/District/Township level departments in Monywa, staff from the General Administration Department, members of the Myanmar Police Force, Fire Service members, and the development committees.

The aim was to ensure the city's cleanliness and tidiness in line with urban standards, prevent traffic and road hazards, and enable residents to live and travel peacefully. Subsequently, the Region Chief Minister and officials showed support to the departmental staff who participated in the collective cleanup activities.

They observed the sale of cooking oil, rice, and vegetables at affordable prices by the Region Consumer Affairs Department, General Administration Department, and Development Committees, and hosted a breakfast for those who carried out the cleanup work. Similarly, in the Naga Self-Administered Zone and the 13 districts within Sagaing Region, a combined force of 2,170 personnel—including Tatmadaw members, Myanmar Police Force members, Fire Service members, departmental staff, and development committees carried out collective cleanup activities.

Furthermore, the Region Chief Minister and officials visited the ongoing work along the 22,000-foot-long Kyaukka Main Road, from Monywa University to Union Road. They inspected the laying of concrete and the operations to ensure proper water flow in drainage channels, aimed at achieving a visually pleasing, clean, and tidy appearance in line with urban standards for the areas in front of houses and shops on both sides of the road.

They coordinated necessary support with the responsible officials and cordially greeted the local residents.
