Legal Dialogue-1: Legal Dialogue-1 among Legal Practitioners held

The opening ceremony of the "Legal Dialogue-1 among Legal Practitioners" was held on October 21, at the Ground Floor Meeting Hall, Office No. 25, of the Ministry of Legal Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw.

At the opening ceremony, Union Minister for the Ministry of Legal Affairs and Union Attorney General Dr. Thida Oo, who is also the Chairperson of the Bar Council, delivered the opening address. She stated that this dialogue is being conducted with the aim of supporting the rule of law and the development of justice, enabling a more comprehensive understanding of legal matters one should be aware of when handling cases, and fostering a greater awareness of the ethics, duties, and rights of legal practitioners to become qualified professionals.

She mentioned that advocates will lead discussions on topics such as the judiciary and the role of legal practitioners, the qualities of a good lawyer, the ethics, duties, and rights of legal practitioners, court procedures for legal practitioners, and how to make a good submission, among others.

For the advocates attending the "Legal Dialogue-1 among Legal Practitioners," it was urged and guided that they effectively apply the knowledge gained from this dialogue in their practical professional fields, assist from their respective roles in matters of the rule of law, and carry out their duties, whether serving public or personal interests or practicing their profession, with full integrity and ethics etc.
