





Chairman of the Working Committee on Information and Development of a Resilient and Strong Social Community, Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn reviewed community development work at the disaster-affected MaGyiPin and NyaungPinThar Villages in Tatkone Township, Nay Pyi Taw on Sunday.
The Union Minister paid homage to the residing Sayadaw of the NyaungPinThar Monastery, alongside Committee Chairman and members and offered Buddha statues, offertories and cash donations. They then met residents of MaGyiPin and NyaungPinThar Villages.
At the meeting, the Union Minister discussed joint flood prevention efforts with relevant departments and encouraged residents to remain hopeful and strive for a better society. He highlighted the government’s cash assistance, information and community development efforts to turn disaster-prone villages into model communities.
The Chief Minister urged the residents to exercise their mandatory voting right in the upcoming election, vote for well-deserved candidates and announced plans for entertainment programs to boost local morale.
The Union Minister and party inspected village livestock activities, housings for flood-affected victims in NyaungPinThar village, Nawin Creek embankment maintenance, living conditions, water and electricity access and provided cash assistance to residents.
