












As part of voter education efforts for the upcoming multiparty democracy general election, a voter awareness billboard was installed on Sunday at Bogyoke Park in Taunggyi Township.
Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung inaugurated the billboard with a ceremonial ribbon cut, alongside the State Minister for Security and Border Affairs and Shan State Election Sub-Commission Chairman. The Chief Minister then presented awards and cash honors to the attendees, including the trainees and students from Taunggyi Nursing Training School and Taunggyi Education Degree College.
They later attended the collective horse-riding event of Myanmar Equestrian Enthusiasts Association at the Aweiyar Balloon Field in Taunggyi and inaugurated the event with the ribbon cut. The Chief Minister urged cooperation in promoting the collective horse riding event to showcase Shan State’s culture and natural beauty, with the aim to develop the Equestrian Tourism and attract long-term visitors.
The event continued with a memorable gift presentation to the Chief Minister, accompanied by the performances of Keinnari, Keinnara and Toenaya dances, horse dances and displays of equestrian skills. Yangon Region Equestrian Sub-Committee Chairman U Zaw Lwin Oo gave words of thanks, after which 80 enthusiasts participated in the event at Nyo Mee Pine Forest.
