Development Efforts : Meeting with personnel and inspection tour

Sagaing Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw met with district level departmental officials at the District Management and Administration Committee office on October 18.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister emphasized the regional government's efforts to maintain peace and stability, uphold the rule of law, promote development across key sectors and ensure a successful multi-party democratic general election within the district.

The District-level departmental officials then reported progress in agriculture, livestock, education, health, and transportation, along with preparations for the successful organizing of the upcoming multiparty democratic general election. This was followed by the additional reports on work implementation by region government members and region-level departmental officials. 

The Chief Minister coordinated the needs in response. He later met with the joint inspection teams at Ayeyarwady Bridge (Yadanabon) and Kantalu checkpoint to review anti-illegal trade efforts and heard work implementation reports.

Stressing the need to prevent illegal charges, corruption and the transport of illicit goods at the check points, the Chief Minister urged safe and peaceful travel for commuters, swift clearance of legal goods, and coordinated efforts among departments and security forces.
