Tatmadaw has regained full control of Hsipaw town in northern Shan State on October 17, after driving out armed groups that had temporarily occupied the area.

Following the operation, government departments and officials arrived in Hsipaw to begin restoring administration, public services, and rebuilding efforts. Local ethnic residents warmly welcomed their arrival, expressing relief after weeks of conflict, displacement, and hardship.

Many displaced families have started returning home, while the Tatmadaw continues work on mine clearance, security patrols, and repairing damaged buildings, including schools, hospitals, religious sites, and government offices that were destroyed during the occupation. Authorities also plan to reopen schools, hospitals, and administrative offices soon.

Locals expressed hope for peace, access to education, healthcare, and livelihood opportunities, and pledged to cooperate in rebuilding efforts alongside the Tatmadaw.
