Myanmar / Viet Nam: Acting President Receives Friendship Association

The delegation led by the Chairperson of the Myanmar-Viet Nam Friendship Association Mr. Chu Cong Phung, paid a courtesy call on the Acting President and Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing on Thursday.

During the meeting, they cordially discussed matters related to enhancing friendship and cooperation between Myanmar and Viet Nam, the assistance provided by Viet Nam after the Mandalay earthquake, the political developments in Myanmar and the preparations being made to hold free and fair elections, and the invitation extended to international election observer groups.

They also discussed plans to promote cooperation in the agriculture, livestock, manufacturing, and tourism sectors, and conditions for increasing trade and investment between the two countries.
