







Under the supervision of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, and organized by the Myanmar Hotels Association (Yangon Zone), the opening ceremony of a workplace-supportive Myanmar traditional martial arts training course was held at the Central Tourism Development Department (Yangon) on October 14. The course aims to further enhance the capabilities of security staff serving at various hotels across Yangon Region. Union Minister for the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, Jeng Phang Naw Taung, attended and delivered a speech.
In his opening address at the ceremony, the Union Minister stated that the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism is organizing human resource development training courses such as hotel service training, maintenance training, and emergency response training in Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory, as well as in various Regions and States. This is to ensure that staff serving in different departments at hotels can systematically provide comprehensive, high-quality services to domestic and international tourist guests staying at the hotels. He encouraged participants in these terms and then joined them for a group photo.
Following this, the Union Minister toured the facility to inspect the ongoing training sessions being conducted for human resource development within the hotel and tourism sector.
Later, the Union Minister, accompanied by the Director-General of the Hotels and Tourism Directorate and responsible officials, inspected hotels within Yangon Region.
During the inspection, officials from the hotels reported on the status of implementation across various operational sectors and the challenges they are facing. It is reported that the Union Minister provided guidance and instructions, and coordinated to fulfill necessary requirements.
