








Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than inspected the intravenous solution production process at the Pharmaceutical Factory (Insein) in Yangon on Friday. The Union Minister also met with the general managers, factory manager, and departmental heads at the meeting hall of BPI Pharmaceutical Museum.
He emphasized that as an original brand manufacturer, the Pharmaceutical Factory (Insein) must ensure high quality and effective medicines under the BPI brand. He urged full utilization of machinery, increased pharmaceutical research to develop new medicines and demand-based production for import substitution and meet the public’s basic medicine needs.
The Union Minister also stressed the need to invite entrepreneurs to produce medicines under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) system, ensuring quick and efficient production. He highlighted the importance of procuring raw materials in advance to meet orders from the Ministries of Defense, Health, and Labor. Additionally, the Union Minister instructed hands-on training to ensure the factory maintains its technology and competitive edge.
