






Preparations are underway to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA), which was signed on October 15, 2015 between the government and ethnic armed organizations.
The anniversary event will be held on October 15, 2025, led by the National Solidarity and Peace Negotiation Committee. To prepare for the occasion, the 4th coordination meeting of the organizing committee was held in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday.
The meeting was chaired by Union Minister Lt-Gen Yar Pyae in his capacity as the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, and attended by high-level officials. The meeting discussed the importance of detailed preparation, rehearsal of cultural performances, proper logistics, live broadcasting, and clear communication at the event
. It is learnt that the event will include a peace-focused workshop reviewing 10 years of NCA implementation, successes, and challenges, development of a Forward Action Plan for future peace-building and public awareness activities to spread knowledge about the NCA.
The workshop aims to gather insights and recommendations from all sectors, which will help guide future peace policies, especially for the government that will take office after the next election.
