UEC Announcement: Extension of deadlines for advance voting

The Union Election Commission made an announcement on the extension of deadlines for advance voting on Thursday. It stated that the commission has announced that the General Election will be held on December 28, 2025.

Regarding advance voting for eligible voters who are outside their respective townships according to the voter list, the commission extended deadlines. According to the announcement, Heads of schools, training centers, detention centers, and hospitals are to submit completed Form (15) along with the voter registration list Form (15-a), organized by township, to the respective Township Sub-Commission by October 17, 2025 instead of the previous deadline of October 12, 2025.

Likewise, the eligible voters who are temporarily residing outside their registered township are to obtain and complete Form (15) either from the Union Election Commission website or from the Township Sub-Commission in the area where they currently reside, and submit it back to the Township Sub-Commission by October 17, 2025 instead of October 12, 2025. With permission from the Union Government, eligible voters residing abroad may cast advance votes via advance voting certificates. Such voters must submit the completed Form (15) to the Commission by October 17, 2025 instead of October 12, 2025.
