Work Coordination Meeting : Arrangements to participate in 22nd China-ASEAN Expo

A work coordination meeting was held at the Ministry of Commerce on Thursday to ensure standardized display of products at the 22nd China-ASEAN Expo which will be held in Nanning,Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China from September 17 to 21.

In his opening remarks, Union Minister for Commerce U Chit Swe stated that Myanmar will participate in the expo as a Country of Honor and Myitkyina Township has been chosen as a Pavilion of City of Charm. A total of 120 galleries of Myanmar’s crops, foodstuff, gems and jewelries, handicrafts and textiles will be displayed in grand scale at the expo. During the expo, events and interactive activities will be conducted to ensure China market availability of Myanmar’s precious gemstones, rice and coffee.

Therefore, the participating entrepreneurs are urged to make collaborative efforts to promote Myanmar products to the world through information acquisition, building connection and business networks. The Union Minister also encouraged to welcome foreign investors and strict adherence of expo’s rules and regulations.

The meeting was also attended by about 110 entrepreneurs from the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry and affiliated associations who will be participating in 22nd China-ASEAN Expo.
