Union Minister for Immigration and Population, U Myint Kyaing, and accompanying officials visited the Einme Township in the Ayeyarwady Region on September 4.

At the township office of the Ministry of Immigration and Population, the Union Minister observed staff implementing Phase 3 of the Pan Khin Project. This initiative provides household registration lists and citizenship scrutiny cards to residents whose documents are lost or damaged and to those who have not yet received them.

The Union Minister first warmly greeted the local residents who had come to apply for their documents. He discussed any operational issues with them and coordinated with officials to resolve them.

Next, the Union Minister toured the office, observing the staff as they followed procedures to issue household registration lists and citizenship scrutiny cards through a "One-Stop Service". He also watched as biographic and biometric data for the e-ID system was collected from people who already had their cards, and how a unique ID number was issued. He provided instructions and assistance to the officials to meet their operational needs.

The Union Minister also inspected the township office and its rooms. He emphasized the importance of ensuring the security of documents and equipment, and he urged the staff to work diligently to complete their priority tasks within the designated timeframe. He addressed their requests, provided the necessary support, and food items.
