Opening of Chinlone Competition: Bago Region Chief Minister attended the ceremony

The opening ceremony of the 2025 Regions and States Chinlone Competition, organized by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and the Myanmar Chinlone Federation, was held at the Sports Garden Indoor Stadium in Bago on September 1st.

The ceremony was attended by Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win, General Secretary of Myanmar Olympic Committee and Deputy Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Htein Lin, Region Ministers and the responsible officials.

First, Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win delivered an opening speech. Following his remarks, Deputy Minister U Htein Lin officially opened the competition with a speech.

The participating athletes then recited the four sports oaths. Then, Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win, Deputy Minister U Htein Lin, and other officials warmly greeted the athletes and watched the first day's matches.

The Deputy Minister, accompanied by officials, then proceeded to inspect the sports stadium and sports ground in Thanatpin Township. He instructed local authorities to manage the waterlogged grounds and ensure proper drainage into the municipal system. He also directed officials to immediately repair the soccer field in preparation for an upcoming competition and to make the indoor basketball court ready for use.
