Preparations for Election : Awareness on the use of MEVM

On 30th August, an awareness on the use of MEVM and practice of using the machine was held in Basic Education High School Nos – 1,2,3 and 4 of Magway for Multi-Party Democratic General Election to be held in the 28th of December 2025.

At the event, Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin and ministers observed the practice of using the machine by voters and instructed the needs. An officer from Magway Region Election sub-commission explained the electoral process including the aim of using MEVM in Multi-Party Democratic General election, structure and operation of the machine, counting the ballots, and display of polling stations.

Exercising practice of the using machine by voters, scrutinizing the accuracy of voter lists, and releasing the results were demonstrated. Officials also replied the quaries raised by the voters. A total of 208,1 voters joined the awareness event.
