MSME Development: Discussion on innovation of MSME development

In order to create more job opportunities in MSME sector, discussion on Innovation of MSME development initiative took place at Naypyitaw State Polytechnic University on August 29th.

Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than attended the event together with Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw and concerned officials. The Rector of Naypyitaw State Polytechnic University made presentation on university’s training programme and cooperation of the university in MSME development and innovation. The discussion aims to acknowledge the pivotal role of the university in MSME development and related processes. 

The Union Minister for Industry stated that the Ministry’s efforts for the development of nation’s MSME sector, creating more job opportunities to reduce poverty. He also emphasized for more production of value-added agriculture products to support rural economy.

The Union Minister for Industry called to create strong networking system between technological research and market penetration. The Union Minister for Science and Technology urged all the university students to apply their knowledge from the discussion at their respective places. After the sector wise discussion by the attendees, the Union Minister for Industry gave concluding remark.
