Education Development: Union Minister visits academic institutions in Meiktila

Union Minister for Education Dr. Chaw Chaw Sein, along with Deputy Minister Dr. Zaw Myint and senior officials, visited Meiktila on Thursday, to inspect schools and universities affected by recent earthquakes.

The Union Minister visited the damaged graduation hall of Meiktila University of Economics and instructed officials to take necessary actions. She also encouraged final-year students to write meaningful project papers that benefit their local communities and small businesses. In meeting with faculty members, the Union Minister emphasized ensuring exam question security and proper supervision of group projects.

She urged the formation of committees for teaching support, maintenance, cleanliness, and record-keeping. She stressed the importance of students participating in sports, discussions, and campus activities, and urged them to dress in accordance with Myanmar traditions.

Later, the Union Minister visited Nyaung Kaing Model Village high school, Meiktila Education Degree College, Meiktila University, and Basic Education High School No. (1). She encouraged teachers to help students develop love for the Myanmar language and act as role models.
