Support for Sports: Honouring the 2025 E-Sports World Cup Champion

A ceremony to honor 2025 E-Sports World Cup Champion, Yangon Galacticos E-Sports was held at Sports and Physical Education (Yangon) in Tamwe Township on 28th August.

Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs and Hotels and Tourism Jeng Phang Naw Taung, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Chairman of Myanmar E Sports Federation and specially invited guests attended the ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister in his capacity as chairman of Myanmar Olympic Committee appreciated the strenuous efforts of Myanmar E Sports Federation to obtain such significant achievement, enhancing nation’s prestige to the world stage.

The Union Minister called for the concerted efforts of the regions and states sports and physical education departments for the emergence of outstanding e sports player and to obtain best achievements in 33rd SEA Games. Then, the Chairman of Myanmar E-Sports Federation presented a video clip presentation of preparation and competition process of Myanmar team during 2025 E-Sports World Cup in Riyadh.

Then, the Union Minister presented 40 million kyat cash award to Yangon Galacticos E Sports and 20 milion kyat cash award to administrators and insturctors of the team. The Yangon Region Chief Minister also presented 10 million kyat for the administrators and instructors.

Subsequently, the Union Minister presented 1,310 million kyat cash award provided by well-wishers to the champion team as well as the honorary certificates for each player. Afterwards, Chairman of Myanmar E Sports Federation delivered words of gratitude.
