Students from Kachin State led by the State Minister for Social Affairs U Moe Min Thein arrived in Yangon on Thursday to take part in the Future Front Myanmar: Youth Strategy Forum 2025, joining as the second batch of participants after the first group from Tanintharyi Region on 27 August.

The group was warmly welcomed by Yangon Region Minister for Economic Affairs U Myo Myint Aung and other officials.

The forum aims to strengthen the capacity of young people nationwide to propose future development pathways for Myanmar and to build a dynamic youth network contributing to both national and regional development programs.

Minister for Social Affairs, Kachin State Government, Moe Min Thein said " Myanmar faces both challenges and opportunities in a multipolar world beyond 2025, and that is why we are taking part in this forum, to engage in meaningful discussions. For the youth participants, it will be an opportunity to attend sessions, listen, exchange views, and learn from one another.  In doing so, they begin to shape their vision for the country. We believe that through their dialogue and contributions, Myanmar’s future will be stronger and better."

At the forum, Indian strategic analyst Atul Aneja and Lorenzo Maria Pacini, Associate Professor at SUPDI, Distance Private University of Switzerland, will deliver keynote addresses. The three-day program will also feature icebreaker activities, world café sessions, an energizer quiz, and group workshops, all designed to prepare youth from across Myanmar’s regions and states to play an active role in a rapidly changing world.

Outstanding students from each region and state were specially selected to join the Future Front Myanmar: Youth Strategy Forum 2025 to share their experience and gain new knowledge.

Youth Representative, Myitkyina Technological University, May Pearl Kyaw said " When I return, I hope to share the new experiences and knowledge gained from this forum with other youth in our native Kachin State."

Youth Representative, Myitkyina University of Computer Studies, Myo Myint said “I would say, for me, personally, I expect a lot but what I think is like…what kind of thing that I can gain for this forum like what kind of knowledges, like what kind of thing that I prepare, that I can show to this forum. So, for me like, not only me but also most of my fellow…. they prepared a lot to present about our state and will try to solve this world problem and yet, the one thing that we expect is like to get more networks with different types of people and different types of fields, so, that’s the thing we expect.”

The forum, themed “Confidence, Courage, Strength and Moving Forward,” will run from 30 August to 1 September at the Myanmar Convention Centre (MCC) in Yangon.
