Receiving ICRC Resident Rep.: MoIP UM received ICRC Resident Rep.

Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing met with Mr. Arnaud de Baecque, the Resident Representative for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Myanmar, and his delegation at the reception hall of the Union Minister’s Office in Nay Pyi Taw on August 26.

During the meeting, the two sides had an open and friendly discussion on several topics, including the ministry's role in reviewing and granting visas and residency permits for ICRC members in accordance with the law, ICRC's humanitarian aid and support efforts in areas affected by earthquakes and natural disasters in Myanmar, the collaboration between ICRC and local authorities on health and rehabilitation projects, as well as future plans for continued assistance and the ministry's appreciation for ICRC's work and its commitment to providing any necessary assistance to facilitate ICRC's operations.
