Tour in Monywa : Chief Minister inspects clean water projects in Monywa

Sagaing Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw and officials visited clean water facilities in Monywa on Saturday to inspect efforts ensuring access to safe drinking water for residents across 18 wards.

They toured the Aqua Pura water purification plant in Thalawaddy Ward, which produces 10 million gallons of clean water daily, using HDPE pipelines and lamella technology. The Chief Minister viewed the treatment process and laboratory setup. Next, they visited the R Paw  water purification factory, which produces 2,000 one-liter bottles per day, and viewed the production and packaging stages.

They then inspected the water storage lake on the west Kanthaya, which spans 10 acres and stores over 30 million gallons. The Chief Minister and party later inspected the installation of concrete embankments, and emphasized the needs to meet the standards while maintaining cleanliness and beauty of the lake with collective cooperation among the departments.
