Training Closing Ceremony: UEC Chairman delivered the remarks at the ceremony

The closing ceremony for the election-related capacity-building training course was held at the Union Election Commission's extended office building in Nay Pyi Taw in the afternoon on August 21.

At the ceremony, the Union Election Commission Chairman gave a speech, stating that the officials from the various sub-commissions who attended the training need to conduct cascade training for the remaining district and township sub-commissions.

He also emphasized the importance of disseminating knowledge about the MMP system from the course to political parties and the public. He stressed that an accurate and complete voter list is a top priority and a crucial task for the upcoming election.

He urged officials to work closely with relevant ministries to meticulously check the lists to ensure there are no errors and that they are accurate. The UEC Chairman concluded by expressing his belief that the officials of the sub-commissions will carry out the elections impartially, correctly, and strictly in accordance with the law.

He urged them to make a firm resolution to work together to ensure a free and fair election and to carry out the task of successfully holding the election as a national duty.
