In Naungcho Township, Northern Shan State, the Myanmar Radio and Television (MRTV) programs, which had been temporarily suspended since June 30, 2024, due to the actions of terrorist insurgents, are now back on the air as of morning on August 20.

To restore the DVB T2 broadcasting system at the MRTV Naungcho relay station, a team of expert engineers from the MRTV engineering division in Nay Pyi Taw has been working around the clock since the evening of August 17. They repaired the damaged broadcast tower, antenna, and High Frequency Feeder Cable.

They also replaced the missing transmitter and related equipment. Repairs are ongoing to restore MRTV radio and FM broadcasts, as well as to fix the damaged station building and brick walls. MRTV programs are also available nationwide via DTH (Direct-to-Home) satellite.
