Myanmar-Thailand: MOI UM received the Chairman of MTFA

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn received U Tin Win (Ambassador-retired), Chairman of the Myanmar–Thailand Friendship Association, and delegation members at the meeting hall of the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw in the afternoon on August 19.

During the meeting, they discussed cooperation to further promote Myanmar–Thailand bilateral friendship in various sectors such as economy, social affairs, education, health, and religion, assistance and protection for Myanmar migrant workers in Thailand, enabling Myanmar citizens to cast their votes in the upcoming multi-party democratic general elections, ensuring access to accurate information regarding Myanmar’s current situation and matters related to continuing efforts to strengthen friendship between the two countries.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister U Ye Tint, the Permanent Secretary, responsible officials, and officials from the Myanmar–Thailand Friendship Association.
