








Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, met with departmental officials and local residents of Minbu, in the morning on August 19, at the U Aw Ba Tha Hall of the Thathana Beikman in Minbu Township.
During the meeting, he discussed regional development matters and also presented honorary awards to the student who achieved the first place nationwide in Myanmar in the matriculation examination (science stream, with six distinctions), as well as another student who earned six distinctions.
At the beginning, the District Administrator reported on the ongoing regional development projects within Minbu District, current agricultural and livestock activities, and preparations being carried out in advance for the upcoming elections at the township level.
Following this, the Chief Minister of the Region provided additional explanations regarding the success and progress of agricultural and livestock undertakings in Minbu District, efforts being made to increase yield per acre, and measures taken to ensure rice sufficiency.
Afterwards, the local residents of Minbu presented their requests and explained the needs of the area that they wished the Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission to fulfill. Subsequently, Union Ministers and the Chief Minister of the Region gave explanations on the implementation status of their respective sectors.
The Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission then elaborated extensively on the matters presented. He spoke about the history of Minbu, its notable figures, and the future requirements for regional development. He also explained that the elections would be held starting from 28 December of this year.
On the topic of education, he expressed pride in Maung Jue Thet Ko , who had been the Lu Yay Chun student for three consecutive years and this year became the Whole Myanmar First in the science stream with six distinctions in the matriculation examination.
He also expressed pride in Ma Han Nwe Moe Zin , who likewise earned six distinctions. He stated that such good traditions must be preserved and continued, and he wished that such achievements and successes would continue to flourish.
Afterward, the SSPC Chairman presented honorary awards and cash prizes to Maung Jue Thet Ko, the student who achieved Whole Myanmar First with six distinctions in the science stream, and to Ma Han Nwe Moe ZinĀ , another six-distinction student. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the SSPC Chairman cordially greeted the attendees.
