Signing of BOT Agreement: Taninthayi Region CM delivered the opening remarks

The signing ceremony for the Build, Operate, and Transfer (BOT) agreement for the Myeik Township Water Supply Project, a contract between the Tanintharyi Region Government and BBWI & MCPC Co., Ltd., was held at the meeting room of the Region Government office in Dawei in the afternoon on August 18.

During the ceremony, Tanintharyi Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko stated that the Myeik Township Water Supply Project is a vital project for the development of the Myeik area. He stressed the importance of completing the work within the specified timeframe. He also said that the government would provide the necessary support to ensure that the project operator faces no difficulties and that the project should prioritize providing water at an affordable rate for the consumers.

After that, the region Minister for Transport and Communications, U Aung Zaw Hlaing, offered additional remarks. The Managing Director of BBWI & MCPC Co., Ltd., Mr. Kanapord, and Director U Hla Than, then presented on the current status of the project and its future plans.

Next, the Tanintharyi Region Government and BBWI & MCPC Co., Ltd. officially signed the BOT agreement. Mr. Weera, an advisor for BBWI & MCPC Co., Ltd., then gave a speech of thanks.
