Meeting with students on study tour: MoHT UM met with the students on study tour

Jointly organized by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, specializations in Tourism and Hospitality Management are being offered at Mandalay University in Mandalay and the National Management Degree College in Yangon.

On August 18, Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism, Jeng Phang Naw Taung, met with first-year students specializing in Tourism and Hospitality Management from Mandalay University, who are on a study tour in Nay Pyi Taw, at the Jade Hall of the Ministry.

During the opening remarks, the Union Minister stated that this academic year marks the 13th year since the tourism specialization program was launched in the 2012-2013 academic year, thanks to the collaboration between the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism.

He urged the students to apply the lessons they have learned and the practical experiences from their Nay Pyi Taw study tour, combined with their innovative ideas. He also encouraged them to contribute to the systematic and long-term development of the nation's hotel and tourism sector.

After that, a first-year student from Mandalay University, representing the group, presented their experiences from the study tour. Following the presentation, officials from the Ministry responded to the students' questions.
