Neem Pesticide Factory: MoALI UM inspected the factory in Magway

Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung inspected the production of Neem-based pesticides at the Neem Pesticide Factory in Magway, which is leased and operated by Myanma Pesticides Industry Co., Ltd, on August 18.

He discussed with responsible officials about improving production capacity and ensuring manufacturing in line with prescribed standards and specifications. After that, the Union Minister met with officials from the regional, district, and township levels of the agricultural sector at the meeting hall of the Magway Region Agriculture Department Office.

He urged them to work together with related departments to effectively promote agricultural and livestock activities and provide practical assistance to farmers with their difficulties, to ensure the cultivation of seasonal crops according to the set acreage plan and achieve targeted yields, expand the cultivation of new crop varieties suited to local soil and water conditions, Strictly adhere to laws, bylaws, and procedures related to land use and to uphold ethical integrity as civil servants and strive for the protection of farmers’ rights and the promotion of their socio-economic well-being.

During the meeting, regional and district-level officials from departments under the ministry presented their completed tasks and ongoing projects according to their respective sectors. The Union Minister coordinated and gave necessary guidance, while also discussing openly about staff welfare and health matters, and offered words of encouragement.
