Meeting on Revised Bill: MoLA UM UAG delivered the opening remarks

A coordination meeting on the drafting of the Second Revised Bill to the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law was held at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Legal Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw on August 12.

The meeting was attended by Union Minister for Legal Affairs and Union Attorney General Dr. Thida Oo, Deputy Minister and Deputy Attorney General Dr. Htein Lin Oo, Deputy Minister for Home Affairs, Maj-Gen Aung Kyaw Kyaw, Director General Dr. Kyi Kyi Than Aung of the Legislative Drafting Department; and other responsible officials.

At the meeting, Union Minister and Union Attorney General Dr. Thida Oo delivered the opening remarks. This was followed by a briefing and discussion from Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Maj-Gen Aung Kyaw Kyaw on the background of drafting the Second Amendment Bill to the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.

The Union Minister and Union Attorney General Dr. Thida Oo led final coordination discussions on the proposed amendments to the bill, it’s learnt.
