






To successfully hold free and fair multi-party democracy general elections and to allow voters to cast their ballots accurately, quickly, and easily, Myanmar Electronic Voting Machines (MEVM) will be used.
In the morning on August 11th, an MEVM awareness and trial voting session was held for residents of Daw Tama ဒေါတမ Ward at the community Hall of the Hilly Region Buddhist Missionary Central Tat-U monastery in Loikaw. Kayah State Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin and members of the State Government, along with other officials, attended and observed the event.
The State Election Sub-commission Office's election officer explained the structure and step-by-step usage of the Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine. The Chief Minister and officials then watched as staff from the State Election Sub-commission Office assisted residents in casting their trial votes. They also observed the enthusiastic participation of the local community and greeted the attendees warmly.
Around 300 residents of Daw Tama ဒေါတမ Ward participated in the trial voting and awareness session. It was reported that similar events will be conducted in other townships, wards, and villages throughout the state.
