Inspection Tour : MOEP Deputy Minister inspects Main Sub-Stations

Deputy Minister for Electric Power U Aye Kyaw visited 500 KV Meiktila (Kan Kaung) Main Sub-Station on August 8. Officials reported on the progress of construction, future plan and installation of transmission equipment. The Deputy Minister instructed for capacity building of the staff to operate the facilities skillfully.

At 230 KV Thapyaywa Main Sub-Station, the Deputy Minister heard reports on power distribution condition and instructed for maintenance plan. On arrival at 240 KV Baelin Main Sub-Station, they inspected the Control Room, Switch Yard and extension of Switch Bay.

They then proceeded to Power Gen (Kyaukse) natural gas engine-fired power plant, and heard reports on distribution of electricity and the needs of spare parts for generators. The Deputy Minister coordinated the needs, and inspected the power generation and distribution processes.
