Waso Robe Offering : Donation by Shan ethnic community in Myitkyina

Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan, together with officials attended the 10th Waso robe offering ceremony of the Shan ethnic community at the Shan community hall in Myitkyina on Friday.

They also made cash donations during the ceremony. Shan ethnic groups then offered Waso robes to the Sayadaws, members of the Sangha and nuns led by the Inle Monastery Sayadaw, in line with traditional customs. The Chief Minister and party then enjoyed Shan traditional dance performances and provided cash assistance to the troupes.
