Reading Promotion Festival: Chief Minister attends school library development

School Library Development and Reading Habit Promotion Festival was held at Practicing High School in Kamayut Township on Friday.

The event was organized by the Yangon Region Government, in collaboration with the Department of Basic Education and Information and Public Relations Department.

The ceremony included various educational exhibits such as book displays, photo exhibitions, and knowledge booths on health, safety, and the environment. Students actively participated in competitions for reading, storytelling, poetry reciting, painting, and quizzes. Awards and prizes were presented to the participants.

Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein attended also delivered a keynote speech and presented honorary gifts to author Lin Thike Nyunt (Myanma Alin) and performing student groups. Donations for library development were made by contributors during the event. This was followed by a literary talk.
